Barker Qualilfies for Junior Nationals

 
 

Olivia Barker had break out performances at the Swim Meet of Champions held June 18 to 21^st, in Mission Viejo California . Olivia set two new team records in the 13-14 & Open 100 meter Butterfly swimming a 1:03.42. Previous record for 13-14 girls was held be her last summer with a time of 1:05.01, and the Open record was held by Princeton grad Dana Benedict with the old time of 1:04.87 in 2002. Olivia’s time is good enough to qualifier her for the Summer Junior Nationals that will be held in Federal Way , Washington August 10 to 14^th.  Other records were also broken by Cody Miller and Billy Gravley at the meet. Cody bettered his 17-18 record in the 200 Breaststroke from a 2:21.77 to a 2:20.68, and set a new record for the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.32 to improve on the 2:09.79 record held by Ramzy Ladah in 1998. Billy improved on his 1500 freestyle records both held in 15-16 and Open with a new time of 16:47.23.
