Olivia Barker breaks long standing record in the 200 Meter Freestyle held by Dana Benedict in 2002 with a new team record time of 2:08.78 surpassing the old record of 2:09.82.
Megan Boland also breaks a long standing record in the 1500 Meter Freestyle held by Rosalie Raymond in 2003 with a new record of 17:54.78 breaking the old record of 18:12.53.
Billy Gravley and Hannon Daigler keep exchanging records in the 17-18 distance records with Billy getting the record this weekend with new 800 Meter Freestyle time of 8:40.51 breaking the old record held by Hannon of 8:44.80.
Hannon Daigler did reset his 17-18 record in the 400 Meter Freestyle with a new time of 4:10.12 breaking the old record of 4:11.09.
Also at the TRA meet held at UNLV Brennan Gravley broke an old record held by Dylan Wolf in the 400 Meter Freestyle with a new time of 5:01.60 breaking the old record time of 5:06.49 in 2004.
Many exciting meets to still come! Everyone should be looking forward to some fast swimming the rest of this month with Sectionals this week, JO’s following week, Nationals first week of August and Junior Nationals the week after.
