Busy Weekend for the Sandpipers

Sandpipers Competing in Three Competitions This Weekend

 

The Sandpipers of Nevada will be busy this weekend with three different meets taking place in 3 different cities!  First, over 20 Sandpipers will be representing their respective high school teams in Carson City, at the NIAA State High School Swimming & Diving Championships.  Next, there are 7 teammates racing in USA Swimming's  Open Water Nationals, being held in Castaic Lake, California.  Finally, 118 Sandpipers are participating in the first  Rock the Block s of the summer season at Desert Breeze Aquatics Facility.  Continue reading for more information on each event... and GO SANDPIPERS!

Fun Facts:

- 10/13 girls and 11/13 boys individuals qualified for State from the Sunset Regional are Sandpipers

- 2 qualifiers for State from the Southern 3A Regional are Sandpipers

- 65.6% of the Top 4 Finishing girls at the Sunset Regional were Sandpipers

- 68.8% of the Top 4 Finishing boys at the Sunset Regional were  Sandpipers
