Canyons / Sandpiper / Rose Bowl Tri Meet First ever three team scored meet for Sandpipers of Nevada. The goal was to give our top kids a college dual meet feel for traveling and also reward them for working hard every day and morning towards elite level swimming, taking them to Magic Mountain after on Sunday. Desert Commettee Voted Head Coach Ron Aitken as Southern California Age Group coach of the year based off of 2008-2009 performaces for the season. This is an honor that our club has recieved 3 years in a row Coach Chris Barber was the winner of this award in 07-08 and 06-07.

Joseph Gutierrez improves his team record at Pumpkin Invitation with a new time of 1:25.12 breaking the old record from last month at the Desert Storm meet. Overall the team had amazing first time swims and new best times that totaled more than 1,000.

This weekend results from the Pumpkinman Triathlon put Sanpipers on top for age group triathletes. William Gravley was 1st at the Olympic distance. Natalie Lipokowitz finished 1st for the sprint, followed by 2,3,4,5,6 place Sandpiper girls Kacey Smith, Olivia Barker, Anamey Nava, Lindsey Englestead and Sarah Miller!
