Joseph Gutierrez improves his team record at Pumpkin Invitation with a new time of 1:25.12 breaking the old record from last month at the Desert Storm meet. Overall the team had amazing first time swims and new best times that totaled more than 1,000.

This weekend results from the Pumpkinman Triathlon put Sanpipers on top for age group triathletes. William Gravley was 1st at the Olympic distance. Natalie Lipokowitz finished 1st for the sprint, followed by 2,3,4,5,6 place Sandpiper girls Kacey Smith, Olivia Barker, Anamey Nava, Lindsey Englestead and Sarah Miller!

USA Swimming Adopts October 1 Ban on Full-Body Suits (9/19/2009) At its annual Convention on Saturday, over 400 USA Swimming Delegates, representing swim clubs from all 50 states, voted overwhelmingly for early implementation of a ban on high-tech swimsuits. The legislation, which will go into effect on October 1, regulates swimsuits worn in all USA Swimming–sanctioned competitions.
